CUPE 410 would like to respectfully acknowledge that the branches of the Greater Victoria Public Library and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria are located on the ancestral lands of the Songhees, Xwsepsum, and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples. They have cared for these lands since time immemorial, and we are grateful for their stewardship of the land and sea where we work to build connections and foster solidarity as a union.
CUPE 410 is committed to redressing the historical and continued barriers which were created through colonization as we journey towards reconciliation. We ask members to reflect, acknowledge, and honour in their own way the Indigenous cultures of the lands where we live, work, and learn.
