CUPE BC has launched an online database of candidates recommended by CUPE Locals or CLC Labour Councils. Please visit the website below, enter your municipality and review the candidates CUPE BC has endorsed. These are candidates that share CUPE values and have made commitments to help workers build strong communities and support inclusive public schools. If you know of any candidates that are worthy of CUPE support who are not listed, please email info@cupe.bc.ca so they can consider adding them to this endorsement list.

On Tuesday, March 15th, CUPE 410 members offered support to VIRL librarians on the picket line outside the Sidney/North Saanich branch. Keep an eye out for emails organizing future shows of support as BCGEU continues their job action.

CUPE 410 Members, joined by some of their family members, participated in this year’s Coldest Night of the Year walk on February 26. The Local kicked things off with a $500 donation, approved at our January General Meeting. Team members continued fundraising for a total of $1670 raised for Our Place. A big thanks to all who participated and donated this year. A special thanks to Kate Wood for getting us registered, getting our toques, and being an awesome team organizer!
