“Our members successfully fought back against a number of concessions, and won several key provisions that will improve the working conditions and compensation of Gallery workers today, and for years to come,” said CUPE 15 President Warren Williams.
“CUPE 15 and the Vancouver Art Gallery have reached a tentative agreement at the bargaining table. The Memorandum of Agreement, reached today with the assistance of a mediator, is subject to ratification.”
“After more than eight months of bargaining, our members are frustrated that Gallery managers continue to insist on a major concession and refuse to move from their position,” said CUPE 15 President Warren Williams. “We are hopeful that a mediator can help rebuild the relationship between the parties in order to bring about a fair, respectful and negotiated settlement.”
